Granite counter. Maintenance.

Cleaning and protecting granite countertops requires a few simple steps. Here's what you can do:

  1. Clean the surface regularly: Use a soft cloth or sponge to regularly wipe the surface of your granite countertop to remove any debris, crumbs, or spills. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scrubbers that can scratch the surface.

  2. Use a pH-neutral cleaner: For a deeper clean, use a pH-neutral cleaner designed explicitly for granite surfaces. Avoid using vinegar, lemon juice, or other acidic cleaners, as they can damage the sealant on your granite countertop.

  3. Rinse and dry: After cleaning the surface, rinse it thoroughly with water and dry it with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.

  4. Apply a sealant: Granite is a porous material that can absorb liquids and stains if not properly sealed. Apply a sealant to your granite countertop once or twice a year to protect it from stains and maintain its shine.

  5. Avoid harsh chemicals: Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents on your granite countertop, such as bleach, ammonia, or oven cleaner. These can damage the surface of your granite and weaken the sealant.

Following these simple steps, you can keep your granite countertop looking beautiful and protect it from damage.
